Everyday Practice was a free, national online education and community hub for NDIS providers and NDIS participants. Its primary purpose was to help NDIS providers comply with their day-to-day NDIS obligations (everyday practice) through the lens of NDIS participants’ experience.
Its secondary purpose was to break down barriers between providers and participants and promote positive, collaborative information sharing and knowledge building, to improve the NDIS experience for all stakeholders.
The three pillars of Everyday Practice were:
- Educational Resources: Written content, live and recorded webinars, videos, fact sheets, guides and interactive online activities that focus on the NDIS Practice Standards and specific obligations within.
- Moderated Forums: Online forums open to the public where providers (governance body members, management and workers), participants, families and carers were encouraged to collaborate and share experiences and knowledge in the spirit of enhancing the NDIS experience for all stakeholders.
- NDIS Helpdesk: Similar to the Helpdesk operated by National Disability Services (NDS) for its members, the Everyday Practice NDIS Helpdesk was publicly available to all providers and participants nationally (that is, no log-in or membership required).
